Shaad Bidiwala, MD
Experienced spine surgeon specializing in the most advanced, minimally invasive techniques to improve your quality of life
Shaad Bidiwala, MD is an experienced spine surgeon known for his exemplary bedside manner, compassion, penchant for listening, and surgical precision. He has more than 15 years’ experience as a spine surgeon specializing in the treatment of herniated disks along the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. As a former Chief of Staff at the Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison, a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Texas A&M health Sciences Center College of Medicine, and an Attending Neurosurgeon at Baylor University medical center, Dr. Bidiwala has accrued vast experience in treating and overseeing treatment for even the most challenging spinal and neurosurgical problems.
Prior to beginning medical school, Dr. Bidiwala earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering. This background has helped guide his interest in and passion for microsurgical procedures that combine the latest technologies with medical science for the best possible patient outcomes.
I take tremendous pride in supporting my patients and their families as they make the difficult decisions that are often associated with spine and brain surgery. Patients undergo a thorough workup and participate in a detailed discussion of their conditions and all available treatment options. Except for emergency situations, surgery is always a last resort and is pursued only after traditional, nonsurgical treatments have been exhausted.
